event log "DebugChannel" error
I recently did inplace update(repair) of Windows 7 Ultimate to fix SP1 upgrade problem as suggested in http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/why-am-i-receiving-message-system-components-missing. Now I keep getting this error The event logging service encountered an error while initializing publishing resources for channel DebugChannel. If channel type is Analytic or Debug, then this could mean there was an error initializing logging resources as well. Event ID 22 Does anyone know how to fix this? Problem is described in here too http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd363790(WS.10).aspx

I do not have an answer but I also now see this same event error at each boot after doing the inplace update (repair) to fix SP1 install.

Hi Sujal Bista, I suggest enable the DeviceMetadata/Debug channel in Event Viewer. Open your Event Viewer, Click View, choose Show Analytic and Debug Logs, then expand to Applications and Services Logs\Microsoft\Windows\UserPnp, right-click DeviceMetadata/Debug, click Enable Log. Then reinstall the Service Pack 1 for Windows 7, if you encounter the same problem, open your Event Viewer, navigate to the Applications and Services Logs\Microsoft\Windows\UserPnp\DeviceMetadata/Debgu, any logs there? In addition, download this update tool http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=44E15787-66B0-4E9C-9C3B-1FC9EA40F69F, install and run it, then provide us with the CheckSUR.log file. If you still encounter problem when install the SP1 update. In order to check the cause of the update error, we need to analyze the CBS.log Open Windows Explorer and go to the folder "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\" and copy all files to your document folder, also copy the setupapi.dev.log from the folder C:\Windows\Inf and the file "C:\Windows\winsxs\poqexec.log " to your document folder, zip all files into one ZIP and upload it to us. You can use SkyDrive.
